Product Directions: Brine Mix - In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water and the brine mix* to a boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat, add 1/2 gallon of cold water, and refrigerate until completely cool. Place chicken breast-side down in the brine bag** and place in a roasting pan. Pour the cooled brine mix over the chicken. If necessary, add cold water until the chicken is completely submerged, seal the bag tightly, and refrigerate for 2-4 hours. (For chicken pieces or halves, soak in water for 2 hours for up to 8 lbs.) Seasoning: Remove chicken from bag. Rinse thoroughly inside and out, then pat dry. Rub the chicken with oil and generously drizzle with the Garlic Lemon Herb Rub, ensuring the seasoning is evenly distributed and covering the outer skin. Roasting: Preheat oven to 350ºF. Place the chicken in a roasting pan and cook until the internal temperature of the thighs reaches 165ºF, about 20-25 minutes per pound. Remove the chicken from the oven and let the juices infuse for 10 minutes. Shred, serve, and enjoy. Grilling: Use indirect heat with charcoal or a burner on one side and a drip pan under the chicken. *For chickens over 5 lbs, use the entire pouch with the brine mixture. For chickens under 5 lbs, use half the amount of brine mixture and water indicated in each step. *Do not use the brine bag in the oven!
