ZAT is equipped with a brand new custom designed balanced armature driver that significantly exceeds the performance of regular balanced armature drivers. A second optimization of the 29689 driver further reduces the distortion rate and shifts the 3kHz peak to the right, delivering a new level of mid-high frequency performance. A combination of 1DD&8BA hybrid driver system, different drivers are responsible for different frequency bands, providing a spectacular sound stage and rich and delicate detail performance.
With the support of 4-layer coils, the single driver performance outperforms other regular stacked dual driver setups. Performance degradation between 20Hz and 100Hz is less than 3dB, ensuring excellent bass depth. The drop from 20Hz to 200Hz is approximately 8dB, making the bass response clear, elastic, and very impactful.
Traditional tuning techniques are typically only able to control the entire frequency range and often create an imbalance between bass, mid, and treble frequencies. KZ's new patented electronic tuning technology departs from tradition by allowing precise control over the entire frequency spectrum. This precise electronic adjustment technology suppresses the decrease in sensitivity to approximately 3dB between 20-100Hz. This results in deep, solid sub-bass frequencies. At the same time, it maintains a sensitivity drop of around 7dB between 20-200Hz, providing adequate punch in the low frequencies. Ultimately, this results in superior sound quality and provides excellent sound reproduction.
Conventional damping nets adjust the sound by changing the density of the damping net inside the acoustic tube. Achieving different sounds requires replacing different damping nets and does not provide precise control over tuning. In contrast, electronic filters are frequency-selective devices for adjusting specific frequency ranges, allowing precise tuning of specific frequency ranges.
Accurate 3-way crossover, multi-channel acoustic design, smooth and natural 3-way crossover provides a more professional listening experience. To construct ZAT's three independent acoustic channels, we use high-precision resin 3D printing technology to achieve a complex internal structure that is difficult to achieve with traditional molding processes. Through multiple careful processes such as polishing and finishing, it reveals a unique metallic texture and provides a smoother and more refined touch. ZAT includes an audiophile-grade silver-plated flat cable that helps reduce signal loss and ensure high-fidelity audio delivery. The outside of the cable has a skin-friendly elastic coating to prevent tangling and stretching.
