About the Actual Vehicle
The R Series is a truck lineup that Scania, a Swedish manufacturer known for its large trucks and buses, began producing in 2005.
The R Series offered a wide range of options, with a wide selection of engine displacements and chassis types. The largest of these, the R730, was introduced in 2011. It featured a 16.4-liter V8 diesel engine producing 730 horsepower.
The Streamline version, released in 2013, was designed to meet the most stringent requirements in all aspects, including fuel economy, reliability, and comfort. The cabin design not only provides comfort but also excellent road visibility, earning it high praise as a vehicle suitable for long-distance transport.
About the Kit
This is a 1/24 scale plastic model assembly kit replicating the R730 trailer head from Scania, the world-renowned Swedish truck manufacturer.
This model is based on the Streamline version of the R730 series. The finished model has a total length of 24.7cm, and is a fully detailed kit that recreates the engine, suspension, and interior of the cabin.
The cab-over cabin faithfully recreates the voluminous design of the high-line type. Details such as the front grille and roof design, headlights, and rearview mirrors are also meticulously reproduced. Naturally, the interior also conveys comfortable equipment such as the seats and dashboard.
The cabin can be tilted up even after completion. Additionally, the chassis, drivetrain, and suspension all faithfully reproduce the mechanisms of the actual vehicle. This is a comprehensive kit that truck model fans will not want to miss.
A large decal sheet is provided for markings that will add a touch of flamboyance to the large cabin.
