Product Introduction
This is a Pit Road plastic model kit of the "1/700 Skywave Series JMSDF Aegis Destroyer DDG-174 Kirishima with New Equipment."
The DDG-174 Kirishima was commissioned in 1995 as the second of the JMSDF's first Aegis-equipped "Kongou"-class destroyers, and became BMD (Ballistic Missile Defense)-capable in 2010.
It is currently part of the 6th Escort Squadron, Escort Flotilla 2, homeported in Yokosuka.
The kit includes the new equipment set "NE10:1/700 JMSDF Ship Equipment Set 1," allowing for more precise reproduction by replacing parts such as armaments and various antennas.
