The mode setting on the camera body is A mode (aperture priority) or M mode (manual). Focusing is done manually. (Autofocus does not work)
After setting the desired aperture value, press the shutter. (If in M mode, also set the shutter speed) Metering is aperture metering (metering with the aperture stopped down), and aperture value information is not displayed on the body.
