This cable assembly product is intended for amateur radio use. ▸In performance tests when assembled to a cable, we have confirmed that SWR is < approximately 1.05 at frequencies below 1200 MHz, and SWR < approximately 1.1 up to approximately 7 GHz.
Low loss. ▸Loss is greatly affected by the attenuation rate of the cable as well as the SWR of the connector. ▸ Even at lengths of several meters for mobile applications, the attenuation rate is not a negligible level and is considered a problem. ▸The thickness of the cable has a limit depending on the intended use, so if the thickness is the same, it will be compatible with the type. ▸This product uses 8D-FB-LITE, which is one rank thicker than 5D. ▸The 8D-FB-LITE series manufactured by Fujikura Dia Cable Co., Ltd. has much lower loss than 5D-FB-LITE, and even exceeds the one rank thicker 10D-2V. ▸The FB-LITE series uses CA wire (aluminum clad wire) for the internal conductor, making it extremely lightweight and easy to use, with a specific gravity less than half that of regular FBs, while maintaining electrical performance. ▸In addition, the outer cover is smooth and made of matte black PVC material. ▸When bending, please draw a gentle circle with a diameter of about 20cm, as loss performance will deteriorate if you bend it.
Each product is affixed with a serial number and 100% tested for SWR (S11) and passing loss (S21) using a VNA (vector network analyzer).
The connector uses an N-type clamp type. ▸There are two types of N-type connectors available in Japan: clamp type and soldering type, but this product uses the clamp type. ▸Unlike M-type connectors, N-type connectors have impedance determined by the standard, so the SWR is approximately 1, but some inexpensive connectors do not support frequencies above several GHz. ▸This product has been selected to have sufficient performance for amateur radio use.
