Product introduction It has been 3 years since the 2016 debut film “Wa Di Yo” (Rice CBR-696), which was formed in the wake of the earthquake in Haiti and received a lot of attention in Europe and America. In this work, which was announced as a second work by the Haitian band Lacou Mijik, many popular artists closely related to New Orleans in America, which have had ties with Haiti since 2 centuries ago, are invited as guests, and an attempt is being made to demonstrate their musical affinity.
Starting with Cyril from the Neville Brothers, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Lost Bayou Ramblers, Arcade Fire, John Cleary, Layla McCarra, The Soul Rebels, etc., participated across the board. With festival-rich sounds in the background, the content makes me reaffirm the power of both Haitian and New Orleans music.

(2020/01/14) Big band from Haiti, Lacou Mijik. This work, which is the second album, was recorded mainly in the southern American city of New Orleans, where many Haitian Creoles live. It is centered around pop sounds that bring a happy atmosphere to the forefront, and you can enjoy a unique mix of refreshing French Caribbean and American black music based on voodoo rhythms. (C) RS
