Button lock
The button lock prevents accidental opening. Operation is very fast - with one finger movement, even when wearing gloves.
2-step lid opening
The lid opening of the ZOJIRUSHI cup is designed to be released, held, and then opened.
This 2-step lid release ensures that hot steam does not scald or splash when opening the lid.
Detachable lid
The fully removable lid allows for easy and thorough cleaning of the mouthpiece, seals and other lid components.

What is vacuum insulation?
Vacuum means that the air between the outer and inner layers of stainless steel has been removed to create a vacuum insulation. Blocks heat transfer through the air (conduction). ZOJIRUSHI vacuum insulation also includes a layer of copper or aluminum tightly wrapped around an outer inner layer of stainless steel.
