Pit-Road 1/700 Skywave Series Japan Coast Guard Patrol Vessel PLH-34 Akatsuki Plastic Model J109
The Reimei-class is the Japan Coast Guard's largest patrol vessel, and was commissioned as a single-helicopter patrol vessel, an advanced version of the previous Akitsushima-class.
Constructed as part of efforts to strengthen territorial waters security, this class is capable of long-term operations in vast ocean areas.
The second vessel, Akatsuki, was commissioned in February 2021 and, along with the first vessel, Reimei, belongs to the Kagoshima Coast Guard Office.
